Ir Dr Chan is a professional engineer who is versatile in theory and practice. He has been involved in many mass transit systems, mainline railways and road tunnel projects in Hong Kong and other cities worldwide. He supported the initial incorporation of platform screen doors to underground metro line stations in Tokyo in late 80’s and in Hong Kong in 90’s. His involvements led to the development of comprehensive environmental conditions inside road tunnels for health and safety of tunnel patrons and operating personnel. In recent years, he has been devoted to application, selection and innovation of products for air control to achieve safety, comfort and environmental requirements.
