The policy study forum on May 24 is the culmination of the 8-month project. Based on in-depth analysis and consultation with leaders across industry, academia and government, the study will offer policy recommendations for developing I&T as an engine for economic growth. At the forum HKAES fellows will share the outcome of the study. A CAE delegation led by Prof GAN Yong (Former CAE Vice-President) and key stakeholders including representatives from Shenzhen will also present their independent findings on Hong Kong I&T.
Key themes of the discussion include:
i) Development of innovation & technology in HK
ii) University-industry-government collaboration
iii) Mainland-Hong Kong Collaboration
The initial findings and policy recommendations will be shared by a team of HKAES fellows from various perspectives, and deliberated with input from invited guests and the participants. The Forum will provide a valuable platform for diverse communities to share perspectives and views. The collective views and policy suggestions will be summarized in the Final Report of the Study – both in English and Chinese.
This event is sponsored by the Hong Kong Central Policy Unit, and is the fourth of a series of I&T policy study forums organized by HKAES.
